Forward Deployed Engineer
You will be the engineer who takes TransportOne's AI agents from demo to production inside real shipper operations. You'll sit with customer logistics teams, wire our agents into the systems they already run (TMS, ERP, email, EDI), configure the guardrails they operate within, and own the deployment until the agents are doing real work on real freight. Half field engineer, half product engineer: what you learn on-site shapes what we build next.
- Own customer deployments end to end, from technical discovery through integration, configuration, go-live and expansion
- Integrate TransportOne with customer TMS, ERP and visibility systems via APIs, EDI (210/214) and email ingestion
- Map customer contracts, rate structures, and lane data into the platform so the agents reason over accurate ground truth
- Configure agent autonomy tiers and guardrails to match each customer's risk tolerance and approval workflows
- Prototype customer-specific agent workflows and hand proven patterns back to the core engineering team
- Debug across the full stack in production (data pipelines, agent behavior, integrations) with the customer watching
- Travel to customer sites for discovery and go-lives (~25–40%)
- 4+ years of software engineering experience, with strong Python
- Hands-on experience building and debugging API integrations with enterprise systems
- Solid SQL and comfort working directly with production data
- Proven customer-facing skills: you can run a technical discovery call and hold the room when something breaks
- A bias for shipping: you'd rather get a working deployment live this week than a perfect one next quarter
- US-based and eligible to work without sponsorship
- Experience with LLM-based or agentic systems in production
- Freight, logistics or supply chain domain knowledge: TMS/ERP integrations, EDI, carrier operations
- FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Redis or a similar modern backend stack
- Prior forward-deployed, solutions engineering or technical consulting experience at an enterprise software company
- Deployments measured in weeks; you see your work running on real freight fast
- Direct influence on the product roadmap: field learnings feed straight into core engineering
- A funded, credible parent: Delhivery (NSE-listed, backed by SoftBank and FedEx)
